Rheinthaler-Forschung
Anfrage von John Rinedollar in Colorado, USA, 2. 1. 2002.
E-Mail: RINEBUCK@JUNO.COM,
I am the caretaker of the Rinedollar/Reindollar and similar spellings of the
Americanized Reinthaler name in America. My collection includes those of Euro-
pe and America. I also have contact with those families who continue to use the
European spelling.
I noticed your listings for Johann, Martin Johann Reinthaler born in 1688
and Christina Reinthaler born about 1752. The listings were in http://
gedbas.genealogy.net on the Internet.
Did he or any of their ancestors or descendants emigrate to the United States? I
have two families who came to America as noted below. However, I believe
others came at earlier dates due to other marriages and birth dates.
John Jacob Reinthaler and his wife Elizabeth arrived in Philadelphia, PA on
September 2, 1749. They came from Rotterdam and last from Cowes, England
aboard the ship Chestefield.
Johann George Rheinthaler, his wife Maria Barbara, and son George Immanuel
left Simmozheim, über Calw, and arrived in America on September 16. 1751.
They came aboard the ship Nancy.
There is a family Coat-of-arms in the Vienna archives that was awarded by the
Imperial Foundation of Munich to Paulus Reinthaler in 1691 or earlier.
