Discription d'un appareil de contröle de la PES. - Cet article decrit un appareil ä
la fois electromechanique et electronique, servant ä determiner rapidement la
perception extra-sensorielle. L'appareil est facile ä manipuler et enregistre
automatiquement les resultats du test sans aucune possibilite d'erreur ou de
fraude. Cet appareil est construit de teile facon que le sujet peut lui-meme, sans
la participation d'un experimentateur, tester la precognition, la clairvoyance,
et la psychokinesie. Cet appareil peut aussi etre employe pour tester la tele-
pathie. L'appareil testeur consiste en un generateur de chiffres dus au hasard
qui sont transcrits en noir par un teletype, tandis que les predictions du sujet
sont transcrites en rouge. Les «calls» et les «cards» sont ainsi separes tres
clairement. A cöte de l'enregistrement ecrit des resultats, le teletype perfore
une bände de contröle qui pourra servir au traitement des donnees experimen-
tales par un ordinateur. La construction et le maniement du generateur de
chiffres sont expliques par un Schema de distribution et Pexecution d'un test
«Standard» est decrite brievement.

Description of an Automatic Test Apparates for Extrasensory Perception. - This
article describes a test apparatus of a combined electromechanical and electronic
nature with which the usual tests for the determination of extra-sensory
perception can be quickly carried out. The apparatus is easy to operate and
automatically provides a record of the test without the possibility of error or
cheating. Because of its construction the test apparatus is especially suited for
the testing of precognition, clairvoyance, and psychokinesis by the subject
himself without the participation of any Supervisor. A possible extension of
this arrangement for testing telepathy is also described. The test apparatus
consists of a random number generator and a teletypewriter with a switching
mechanism such that the random numbers are typed in black whereas the
subject records his predictions in red. A definite Separation is thereby guaran-
teed between «call» and «card». In addition to the typed record the teletypewriter
also makes a punched tape as a control which at the same time can serve
as the input for a Computer evaluation. The construction and Operation of the
random number generator is explained by a schematic diagram, and the
execution of the Standard tests is also described for this apparatus.
